The 卫生信息技术员 program combines a profession in health care with information technology. Students participate in two professional practice experiences that are a combination of onsite and virtual experiences.

They use computer applications to organize, 分析, 评估, 并报告健康数据, 遵守法律, 标准, 法规. 健康 information technicians often specialize in coding diagnoses and procedures in health records for reimbursement and other purposes.
The 健康 信息管理 accreditor of ndsc is the Commission on 认证 for 健康 Informatics and 信息管理 Education (CAHIIM). The College’s accreditation for Associate's 学位 in 健康信息 Technology has been reaffirmed through 2028.
